When I was in my 40s, when I went back to Wajima for summer vacation, I dived into the sea near the evening and pierced a black soybean with a hand harpoon and ate it grilled with salt. Until then, I was drinking beer and whiskey, but now I want to drink sake with fish.

I went to visit a friend who is a Wajima lacquer ware craftsman and asked for affordable tokkuri and sake cups, but honestly the old-fashioned shapes and colors didn't taste like good sake. That's why I asked my friend to make a sake cup that I designed myself.
